HHS Stimulus Payments for Healthcare Providers

On April 10, 2020, the Department of Health & Human Services began delivering the initial $30 billion in relief funding to providers in support of the national response to COVID-19. This funding will be used to support healthcare-related expenses or lost revenue attributable to coronavirus and the ensure that uninsured Americans can get the testing and treatment they need. This initial distribution will got to hospitals & providers across the United States and are enrolled in Medicare. Facilities and providers are allotted a portion of the $30 billion based on their share of 2019 Medicare fee-for-service reimbursements. These are payments, not loans, to healthcare providers.
